Now THAT'S done, i shall proceed to tell you about my yesterday. =__=" for today included nothing but buying books from school with a very red and itchy right eye. So honestly, there isnt much to be told about. my yesterday though, is a different story....
once upon a time in a land far FAR away called Malaysia in a busy BUSY street lived a young happy/unhappy (aah.. it depends) girl named Li May. That morning, she woke up, UNLIKE EVERY OTHER MORNING IN WHICH SHE WOULD WAKE UP AT 2 in the afternoon, but instead was awake by 8am. why was she awake at this time of hour? it was dawn! (well to her it was) it was because the family decided to eat breakfast with grandpa.
kay i cant keep this up.
yeah so anyway, we went and ate bak kut teh with my grandpa at bloody 8 am in the morning. only had around 3 hours of sleep! couz and i talked till 5 am the previous night/that morning (your pick) and i was tired shitless. This probably isnt helping my eyebags case. Gah. if those get any bigger, i swear they'll burst. (ugh.. disgusting) By the time we reached home, it was around noon and i was feeling faint and nauseous. the room kept spinning round and round and round and round and... (it goes on). i thought sleep would do the trick and save me from that unpleasant feeling, but guess what?
I COULDNT SLEEP
Laid in bed for an hour (without sleeping, but with eyes closed, opening them once in awhile to check the time) and got up feeling better. Was going to join Su Ping, jon yee and sze rong at comic fiesta, so got ready to go at 2.30pm... cousin was taking a nap as he was as tired as i was. I couldnt wake the lousy pig up. =__=" it was so dreadful. i kept calling him and poking him and (i tried all sorts of methods - but pouring water) and he just wouldnt wake! he just rolled from one side to another like i was some annoying mozzie he was ridding off and continued sleeping. GAAAAAAAAHH!!! imagine my frustration. we were suppsoed to leave at 3! and he was still there playing sleeping beauty. great. just great.
so at 2.45 i attempted to wake him yet again and faaaiilleeedd miserably. Cas suggested i tickle him so at 2.50 i tried just that and HE WOKE UP!! =D CAS IS A GENIUS! xp we left the house at 3 something and arived at... i forgot when, but does it matter? There were lots more people this year, but less stuff, so in the end i didnt get anything, we left after lingering in the area for an hour or so to pyramid to catch our movie. Eragon. (can you believe my cousins used to pronounce it as eee-ray-gen)Met up with Karen and her bro, Brian, there. XD ah yes, the fun really started here. hahahaa... making fun of Brian is really sort of a hobby of mine now. =p and no brian (you loner).. ramming people's head into sharp edges of the wall isnt healthy.. remember we went over this 2 years ago?
I was really excited in seeing karen again too! =) never cease to bring up someones day, thats karen! XD I sat in between karen and my couz during the movie. and GOSH we laughed so much throughout the movie. it was retarded! Those supposedly funny parts/lines of the movie werent so much funny but yet those SAD parts of the movie were HILARIOUS. im SERIOUS!!! there was this one part where the dragon fell and we were all supposed to feel sad and everything, but there was this woman behind who went
and WE ALL CRACKED INTO FITS OF LAUGHTER! darn you lady! XD hahahahha!!!! couldnt stop laughing.. then we all laughed when the Shade (Durza) was talking to the troops too! he was so ugly we just had to laugh. =__=" we have no logic. I am not going to spoil the movie for the rest of you folks who havent had the time to watch it but dont get your hopes up. it really isnt that good at all. the scenes were rushed through, its like they reach this place then PANG! another scene PANG! change scene PANG! war PANG! war end PANG! this PANG! that. gosh. its like we were on fast forward, only we were not.
i really dont see why the director had to rush so much, why didnt he make a 3 hour long movie like LOTR or harry potter? the movie was only stinking 1 hour and 45 mins long. thats so SUPER SHORT. And im not going to reveal how fast the dragon grew, but it was FAST. like lightning fast. XD with a blink of an eye and BOOM! shes HUMONGUS. and everyones turning to each other wondering.. what happened to that cute little thing we first saw? DAMMIT! hahaa... the cuteness didnt last long.
The Negative
What really disappointed me besides the really rushed movie was that they changed lotsa stuff, but then again, that was expected i guess. its just SAD. oh and i expected the dragon's voice to be deeper and older, wiser i guess. Her voice was like a 20 year old. O.O i expected a 40 year olds voice. she didnt sound too wise too in the movie. Ah well... again, i advise you to not get your hopes up. Oh and the fact that there were NO CUTE/HOT guys in the movie at all really just *sniff* was SAD SAD SAD. and some of the actors couldnt act well, but thats just a minor negative, didnt affect the show much.
Oh and the BIGGEST WORST negative was the DRAGON'S WINGS. you all know how dragon wings look like right? in the movie they looked like eagle wings. like WHATS UP WITH THAT!?!? mutant dragon. =__=" what? at the end of the series someones going to go all 'oh, after evolution, the dragons turned into eagles. so no, dragons did NOT extinct, they became eagles.' ridiculous i tell you. hated the wings!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! stupid feathers.
The positive
The Ra'azac looked scarier than i had imagined. so that was good. too bad they didnt appear much in the movie. i had imagined them only to be like black hooded people, you know like lord of the rings? so yeah, that was good. =) a + for the movie! =D oh and the baby dragon was ADORABLE, the whole cinema was like AAAAAAAAAWWWWW!!! i bet everyone was making baby sounds (as in sounds you make to an infant) in there heads.. i know i was. XD too cute for words. but like stated earlier, the cuteness didnt last long. which was sad.
ah well.. all in all it was an okay movie. if you'd ask me to rate it, i would give it a 6 out of 10. and im already being generous at that. really. but still, watch it and see for yourself. Perhaps im just being more negative about it as i read the book already and expected more even with my standards low (as i heard bad news from other sources already).
so anyway, enough about the movie, we went for dinner with su pings family - without her father - at sushi king. Us girls + her bro sat at one table and the guys at another. there were 4 guys. auntie was going to pay for everyone but didnt want to guys to feel bad for eating a lot for she was paying so she didnt tell them. instead, since THEY thought THEY were paying for themselves, they ate little, in their minds thinking how expensive it would be. Plan backfired i guess. haha.. so in the end auntie had to order cawanmushi? (dunno how to spell lar) for them and we had to bring some plates of sushi over for them on a tray. xp
they were all full in the end so 'our work there was done'. after dinner karen + brian accompanied me and my couz at starbucks to wait for my dad to arrive. The rest went their seperate ways. We hung around and talked, me mostly teasing brian for like said earlier, it IS sort of a hobby of mine. XD when my dad came i hugged karen and we left. *sniffles* wonder when i'll see karen again, hopefully at least a few more times before she goes back to the UK in Jan, though i dont think that'd be very possible for we both have transport problems. Siiiigh.
I thought my couz was bored at Comic fiesta but apparently he said he wasnt. =) so yeah, im glad, for all the while i was feeling so horrible for having dragging him out with a buncha ppl he doesnt know and most of them didnt really bother to talk to him. and yeah, my cousin is a really talkative and funny guy once you get to know him. I kept walking with him and talking to him hoping he didnt feel bored but yeah, i had this really bad feeling he was. so i was glad when he said he wasnt. =D
so all in all, it was an okay outing. =) su ping was feeling weird wearing what she was wearing out for her back was very exposed and before she bought the jacket (which was after the movie) i had to be her 'shadow'. i thought what she was wearing was fine though, so did karen. oh well. XD
